About
My work is born from the observation of everyday life, of details and moments that normally go unnoticed. Between photography, drawing, and tattooing, I seek to transform experiences, memories, and perceptions into images charged with presence and meaning.
I believe in art as a space for connection. In both photography and tattooing, my work starts from listening, exchange, and joint construction. Each project arises from the stories, references, and experiences shared throughout the process.
Using everything from old cameras to my own cell phone, I'm less interested in technical perfection and more in the truth of the moment. What I seek to capture in photography, on paper, or on skin are marks of presence, affection, and connection.
Being a visual artist and tattoo artist, for me, is part of the same movement: observing, feeling, and transforming what often goes unnoticed into something that can be experienced, remembered, and carried.
Biography
Clêisson Niz has been working as a tattoo artist since 2018, developing original work that combines listening, sensitivity, and design tailored for the body. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), focusing on drawing and photography.
His work is born from the observation of everyday life and details that normally go unnoticed. Between photography, drawing, and tattooing, his research explores themes such as memory, presence, belonging, and perception. Using everything from cameras with manual lenses to his own cell phone, he seeks to capture the essence of the moment rather than technical perfection.
This same attentiveness permeates his practice as a tattoo artist. Each project arises from the encounter between shared stories, references, and experiences, transforming tattooing into a creative process built together with the person who wears it.
Niz understands his work as a visual artist and tattoo artist as a space for connection, where the image on paper, in photography, or on skin becomes a form of expression, presence, and encounter.
